About proficiency levels:
- 1-2 — basic awareness. Minimal hands-on experience, and a rudimentary understanding of the technology's purpose;
- 3-6 — daily use. Comfortable and regular usage, capable of handling common tasks and challenges related to the technology;
- 7-9 — you are an expert, you can teach others, you know all the pitfalls and tricks;
- 10 — exceptional knowledge, comprehensive understanding, and adeptness in all aspects of the technology, including advanced problem-solving. Think twice before claiming or demanding such level.

Details
NVIDIA's networking software runs the fabrics inside the world's largest AI systems, including NVLink and InfiniBand switch management, subnet managers, in-network computing, and fabric telemetry. The infrastructure and DevOps team owns how that software is built, tested, scanned, and released, including CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes-based build fleets, artifact and container registries, quality and security gates, and hardware-simulation and lab environments.
The role supports a distributed team of DevOps and product engineers across the United States and Israel and owns the build and release process across a dozen active repositories and three CI systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across GitLab CI, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions, including merge-request gates, nightly regressions, and release pipelines.
- Package, sign, and publish Debian and RPM packages and container images.
- Improve pipeline reliability by making failures visible and actionable, removing failure masking, stabilizing flaky lanes, and turning nightly regression results into actionable information for product teams.
- Operate and evolve Kubernetes-based CI runner fleets, container registries, artifact repositories, caching, retention policies, and access controls.
- Integrate quality and security gates into pipelines, including code coverage, static analysis, unit and functional testing, secret scanning, container scanning, dependency scanning, and vulnerability scanning.
- Drive security and quality findings to closure with the responsible teams.
- Automate provisioning of hardware- and simulation-based test environments with Ansible and Python.
- Partner with C++ and Python developers, verification engineers, and lab and infrastructure teams to unblock builds, harden release paths, and establish repository standards such as branch protection, code owners, and merge policies.
- Apply AI-assisted tooling to DevOps work, including automated code review, failure-triage assistants, and agent workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, build and release, or infrastructure engineering roles, including end-to-end pipeline ownership.
- Deep, hands-on Linux skills on Ubuntu and RHEL, including shell usage, process and system debugging, package management, fleet operations, and Docker containers.
- Strong automation skills in Python and Bash.
- Production experience with at least one modern CI system, such as GitLab CI, Jenkins Pipelines, or GitHub Actions, including multi-stage pipelines for compiled and interpreted codebases.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes as a CI and infrastructure platform, along with container registries and artifact repositories.
- Familiarity with software quality and security tools for coverage, static analysis, secret scanning, and vulnerability scanning.
- Solid understanding of computer networking fundamentals and Git-based development workflows.
- Ownership and clear communication skills, with the ability to drive problems across teams and time zones and document technical work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building and packaging C/C++ projects with CMake and Conan, and keeping large compiled builds fast and reproducible.
- Familiarity with high-performance networking, including InfiniBand, Ethernet fabrics, and NVLink, or with switch and network-management software.
- Experience running SonarQube, Coverity, Bullseye, or container and secret scanning at scale.
- Practical use of AI agents and LLM tooling to automate DevOps and verification workflows.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Benefits
- Competitive salary.
- Generous benefits package.
- Equity eligibility.
The base salary range is USD 148,000–235,750 for Level 3 and USD 176,000–276,000 for Level 4. Salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Applications will be accepted at least until September 20, 2026. NVIDIA uses AI tools in its recruiting processes and is an equal opportunity employer.
