Reddit is looking for a thoughtful, high-impact Staff Product Designer to join the Growth Design team. This role will help shape how people discover Reddit, convert to the app, engage more deeply, and keep coming back. The designer will bring clarity to ambiguity, develop design strategy, and co-architect the roadmap alongside Product and Engineering.

The role involves high-velocity experimentation, translating complex user behavior into seamless engagement loops, and identifying systems, patterns, and product bets that unlock growth across multiple surfaces and teams.

Responsibilities

• Turn broad business problems into clear design strategies, phased plans, and actionable scopes across the Growth portfolio.
• Drive end-to-end growth work as a designer shaping the broader engagement system, rather than only owning individual features.
• Shape high-visibility experiences across Reddit-owned and partner surfaces.
• Use coding tools such as Cursor or similar environments to build high-fidelity, functional prototypes using real data.
• Partner strategically with Product, Engineering, and Design leadership to influence priorities and connect rapid experimentation to long-term product direction.
• Present design directions to senior and executive leadership using data-driven insights, product judgment, and design intuition.
• Maintain a high bar for visual and interaction design while developing reusable patterns and components that scale across Growth and Reddit.
• Translate complex data, user behavior, and experiment results into compelling narratives for executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of product design experience, ideally in growth, platform, or high-scale consumer technology environments.
• Experience operating at Staff scope, driving impact beyond a single team or feature area and influencing product direction across a broader portfolio.
• Proficiency in prototyping via code using tools such as Cursor.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating craft, systems thinking, and measurable impact on acquisition, conversion, retention, or other growth outcomes.
• Comfort working with rapid iteration, A/B testing, and performance-data-driven pivots.
• Exceptional storytelling, writing, and presentation skills, including the ability to synthesize complex ideas for senior and executive-level reviews.
• Strong judgment and leadership presence, with the ability to navigate complexity, create clarity, and influence cross-functional teams through ambiguity.

Compensation

The base salary range is $194,600–$272,400 USD. The position is also eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units and, depending on the position offered, may be eligible to receive a commission. Reddit provides benefits to U.S.-based employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) program with employer match, vacation, and parental leave.
