Who We Are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Stripe’s mission is to increase the GDP of the internet.
About the Product — Connect Platform
Connect is Stripe’s platform for businesses that serve other businesses. It provides infrastructure to represent people and companies in their ecosystems, onboard and verify them, manage their accounts, accept payments, and pay them out without requiring them to build payments, compliance, or financial-services systems themselves.
The Connect Abstractions team owns the platform primitives that support these models. The team is building foundational abstractions for representing participants, onboarding them safely, configuring their capabilities, and managing their lifecycle on Stripe. This work supports platforms across industries, including marketplaces, creator networks, and AI-native businesses.
Why This Role
This role involves defining a foundational product area at Stripe and turning changing user and product needs into durable platform primitives that work across products, industries, and geographies.
The role combines product strategy with hands-on execution. The Product Manager will address questions such as what a platform should be able to model, what should be simple by default but flexible when needed, and how Stripe can make complex financial infrastructure effortless for platforms and their users.
Responsibilities
- Bring the next generation of Connect accounts to life by owning key product areas within the account platform, translating strategy into a focused roadmap, making product decisions, and delivering high-quality launches.
- Build from use cases, starting with real platform problems such as onboarding sellers, supporting complex business models, and evolving users’ financial capabilities.
- Partner with engineering and design to create powerful and intuitive API and product experiences.
- Develop a point of view on how AI will change platform economics, participant models, and financial workflows, and make foundational investments that unlock future demand.
- Work with users, Sales, Partnerships, and other Stripe teams to distinguish bespoke requests from patterns that should become scalable platform capabilities.
- Lead cross-functional work from discovery through launch and own outcomes including developer experience, platform adoption, user value, and business impact.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience, including meaningful experience owning platform, API, or developer-facing products end to end.
- Demonstrated ability to own a product area end to end, including setting strategy, driving execution, and measuring outcomes.
- Strong analytical instincts and comfort defining the measurement framework before launch.
- Clear written communication and the ability to build alignment across functions and levels.
- Experience working on technically complex products such as APIs, developer tools, shared platform capabilities, or core product experiences.
- Ability to move between users’ most difficult problems, the underlying business opportunity, and the product decisions required to solve them.
- Opinionated, thoughtful, and execution-oriented approach, with the ability to focus teams on key decisions and deliver products in ambiguous environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure.
- Experience productizing bespoke or custom solutions into broadly available platform capabilities.
- A track record of making well-judged foundational investments ahead of user demand.
