About the Team
The Finance Platform & Technology team at OpenAI builds and scales the systems and data architecture that power core financial operations. The team enables business agility, compliance, and operational excellence across quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, and asset management, with a focus on modernizing workflows through strategic integrations, scalable automation, and seamless data flows.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end supply chain transformation across demand planning, supply planning, procurement, manufacturing operations, logistics, and fulfillment.
- Evaluate and redesign core supply chain processes; identify operational bottlenecks, fragmented workflows, and manual processes that limit scalability.
- Build standardized process frameworks and operating models to support rapid scaling of hardware programs.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing structured supply chain practices such as S&OP / Integrated Business Planning, supply risk management, inventory optimization, supplier collaboration frameworks, and logistics visibility and execution models.
- Establish operational KPIs and governance to improve predictability, responsiveness, and resilience.
- Translate redesigned processes into integrated system workflows across ERP, planning tools, manufacturing systems, and logistics platforms.
- Define data flows across the supply chain to create a single operational source of truth and build the foundation for a Supply Chain Control Tower with end-to-end visibility and exception management.
- Identify opportunities where AI can reduce operational noise and decision latency; work with data and engineering teams to embed AI insights directly into operational workflows.
- Reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets and disconnected systems; build scalable processes and automated workflows so operations teams focus on exceptions rather than routine tasks.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain operations, transformation, or supply chain technology roles.
- Deep experience in hardware supply chains (consumer electronics, robotics, infrastructure, or complex manufacturing).
- Proven ability to redesign supply chain processes and operating models (not just implement tools).
- Experience implementing or working with ERP and supply chain planning systems.
- Strong understanding of supply chain data, analytics, and operational KPIs.
- Ability to bridge operations, engineering, and data teams to drive change.
- Experience introducing AI or advanced analytics into supply chain operations.
- Experience supporting robotics, electronics, semiconductor, or data center hardware supply chains.
- Experience building modern digital supply chain capabilities (control towers, planning transformation, data platforms).
