Details

NVIDIA is seeking a System Software Engineer to enhance and expand network hardware and software profiling tools. The role is part of the Software Development Tools Team, which enables first- and third-party developers to use NVIDIA hardware in cluster, server, professional, consumer, automotive, and embedded solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and expand network hardware and software profiling tools, primarily using C/C++ with some Python for analysis scripting.
  • Work with customers and engineers across teams to explore problems, identify solutions, write functional requirements and design documents, drive execution, and deliver multifunctional software solutions.
  • Partner with system architects, product definition engineers, software and firmware engineers, hardware/software applications engineers, and operations teams.
  • Contribute to GPU, CPU, and networking profiling tools.
  • Build software tools that help developers optimize workflows across High Performance Computing (HPC), cloud computing, machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, autonomous machines, professional visualization, entertainment, embedded systems, and automotive systems.
  • Work with researchers and real-world developers to improve computers and computing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related hardware/software position.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with international teams preferred.
  • Experience creating monitoring, profiling, or optimization software tools for developers working on large-scale systems, including traditional HPC and cloud computing environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple architectures, such as x86, ARM, or Power.
  • Experience with multiple operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, or macOS.
  • Proven ability to create engineering designs, build team consensus, and deliver solutions.
  • Understanding of complex computer hardware and its impact on performance.
  • Experience with low-level hardware.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is USD 152,000–241,500 per year. The position is also eligible for equity and benefits. Applications will be accepted at least until August 29, 2026.
