Details

NVIDIA is developing CPUs for embedded, automotive, and data center markets, in addition to GPUs for artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and visualization. The UEFI Firmware team is hiring a System Software Engineer to contribute to early modeling and simulation and follow products through development and deployment in gaming consoles, servers, and AI devices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop features and code for UEFI firmware.
  • Document code flow, data flow, and architecture for UEFI firmware.
  • Debug UEFI firmware issues and identify root causes through creative problem-solving.
  • Support simulation and FPGA environment bring-up for UEFI firmware.
  • Independently drive and resolve issues across teams and disciplines.
  • Plan and execute pre-silicon and post-silicon verification of UEFI firmware.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with teams around the world.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with low-level operating system functionality, particularly ARM technologies and programming.
  • Excellent C programming and debugging skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with UEFI, ACPI, SMBIOS, and the Linux kernel is preferred.
  • Experience with system software, operating system internals, kernel modules, and device drivers.
  • Experience working with AI development tools.
