Details
As a Technical Deployment Lead on the Claude Agentic Solutions team, you will lead the delivery of custom AI agent solutions for enterprise customers in highly regulated industries. You will own high-value engagements from statement of work through production deployment, working alongside Forward Deployed Engineers who build the technical solutions. You will own product scoping, stakeholder management, value measurement, and the organizational complexity involved in deploying AI agents in enterprise environments.
This is a founding team, and you will help create technical playbooks, processes, and repeatable patterns for scaling this emerging delivery motion. You will represent Anthropic in the field, ensure high-quality delivery, and provide regular insights to Product and Research teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical delivery plan for each engagement, including statements of work, scope, milestones, dependencies, success criteria, and value hypotheses.
- Translate customer business objectives into sequenced roadmaps for Forward Deployed Engineers.
- Lead technical discovery by mapping customer workflows, identifying constraints, defining MVP scope, and shaping solution architecture for custom agent deployments.
- Drive day-to-day engineering execution across Anthropic and customer teams, keeping delivery unblocked and managing scope and priority trade-offs.
- Define MVPs, author requirements documentation, prioritize engineering backlogs, and manage scope as requirements evolve.
- Lead executive briefings and stakeholder communications across technical leaders, procurement, and senior business and engineering stakeholders.
- Define impact hypotheses, baselines, and KPIs; conduct pre- and post-deployment measurement; and report outcomes to executive sponsors.
- Build reusable solution patterns, evaluation frameworks, and technical playbooks, and feed field insights back to Product and Research.
- Navigate security reviews, legal approvals, procurement processes, compliance requirements, and organizational dynamics.
- Manage scope changes, set expectations, negotiate contract modifications, identify risks, and escalate issues with clear context.
- Run sprint ceremonies, milestone reviews, and progress reporting.
- Travel to customer sites approximately 25–50% of the time.
Requirements
- Experience leading AI/ML engagements or deployments as a founder, data scientist, engineer, researcher, professional services specialist, or consultant.
- Experience delivering AI, ML, or LLM-based agentic solutions into production, including knowledge of solution patterns, integration approaches, and real-world deployment challenges.
- Experience in a specialized vertical such as financial services, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, retail, mining, or agriculture.
- Ability to lead architecture discussions with engineering stakeholders, evaluate technical trade-offs, and pressure-test technical decisions. Production coding is not required, but you will own the technical direction of engagements alongside Forward Deployed Engineers.
- Track record of delivering complex, high-stakes technical projects for enterprise clients, ideally across multiple workstreams in regulated industries.
- Executive presence and the ability to represent Anthropic credibly to senior leaders.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, create structure, and build new functions and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A field of study relevant to the role, demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $275,000–$380,000 USD
Work Policy and Logistics
- Hybrid policy: Staff are expected to work from one of Anthropic’s offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more office time.
- Visa sponsorship is available, subject to role and candidate eligibility. Anthropic retains an immigration lawyer to assist with visa matters.
- Anthropic offers competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office collaboration spaces.
