Details

Anthropic is investing in shared platform capabilities that power Claude across its consumer and developer products, including Claude, Cowork, Claude Code, and future surfaces. The Technical Program Manager will coordinate platform engineering teams and product teams that consume the platform, driving a cohesive roadmap and helping products ship more easily, quickly, and reliably on a common foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the cross-Apps platform roadmap end to end, including sequencing, dependencies, and tradeoffs across platform teams and dependent apps teams.
  • Drive alignment between platform engineering and apps teams so platform investments address consumer needs and achieve adoption.
  • Identify duplication across product surfaces and convert it into shared platform capabilities.
  • Establish the operating rhythm, including planning, status reporting, escalation paths, and launch coordination across organizations.
  • Create program documentation, including roadmaps, status reports, risk assessments, and communication plans.
  • Facilitate technical decision-making by bringing stakeholders together, driving consensus, and ensuring timely resolution of blocking issues.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in technical program management, with a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs.
  • Experience with platform engineering efforts, such as shared services, developer platforms, or common capabilities consumed by multiple product teams.
  • Ability to engage meaningfully with engineers building platform capabilities.
  • Experience driving platform adoption across consuming teams.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple engineering teams and organizations simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams across distributed teams.
  • Ability to thrive in unstructured environments, bring order to chaos, and create clarity in ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Passion for Anthropic's mission and interest in bringing AI capabilities to users safely and reliably.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • A field of study relevant to the role, demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Compensation

  • Annual salary: $365,000–$435,000 USD.
