NVIDIA is seeking a creative and highly motivated system software engineer to join the Tegra system-on-chip (SoC) Software organization. The role focuses on designing key aspects of Tegra SoC kernel drivers and embedded software for ARM SoCs across pre-silicon and silicon platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and verify features for next-generation SoC architectures in collaboration with hardware and software engineers.
  • Contribute to early modeling and simulation required to produce NVIDIA products.
  • Work closely with hardware, silicon, and pre-silicon teams to bring up new platforms, products, and prototype systems.
  • Enable core operating system software on new platforms during SoC bring-up.
  • Develop, unit test, document, and maintain features for Tegra SoCs.
  • Influence hardware architecture and system software by creating architecture and design specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and strong ownership of past projects.
  • Hands-on technical experience and demonstrated excellence in environments involving complex software and hardware designs.
  • Outstanding C programming and low-level driver development experience.
  • Strong background in complex system-level debugging.
  • Experience with ARM-based processor architecture.
  • Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessors, and microcontroller fundamentals, including caches, buses, memory controllers, and DMA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chip or board bring-up experience.
  • Experience developing high-quality embedded code.
  • Experience with JTAG and other debugging tools.

Benefits

NVIDIA offers competitive salaries, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. The base salary range is USD 152,000–241,500 for Level 3 and USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4. The posting will be accepted at least until October 3, 2026. NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer.
