Details
As a Support Specialist with the Bloomberg On-Site Support (BOS) team in New York, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Bloomberg’s technology infrastructure. You’ll support Bloomberg clients across the New York area, providing hands-on expertise ranging from desktop support to complex network troubleshooting, NODE site support, and IDF equipment management.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support to Bloomberg clients across the New York area, partnering closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Deliver hands-on installation and servicing of critical servers, routers, appliances, computers, and IDF equipment, including rack-and-stack, patching, and physical connectivity.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues across Windows and Mac environments.
- Perform console access to routers for service or new installations on Linux-based platforms.
- Support order management and implementation processes, working with clients and the Sales Department to ensure successful delivery.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all work using Bloomberg’s proprietary ticketing systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and consultants to ensure timely service delivery.
- Be available for flexible work hours to support critical implementations, maintenance windows, and time-sensitive issues (may include early morning, evening, or occasional off-hours work).
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of relevant technical support experience.
- On-site support experience with installation and servicing of servers, routers, switches, appliances, and IDF equipment (rack-and-stack, patching, physical connectivity).
- Proficiency with Linux-based platforms and ability to access device consoles for service/installation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and macOS environments.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, and subnetting.
- Experience managing orders end-to-end and supporting implementations to client delivery.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to support account management tasks such as license activation and software support.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Salary
Salary Range: 70,000 - 95,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
