Details
We are seeking a Business Operations Analyst to provide technical and operational support to the Business Operations team and the systems supporting AppLovin’s mobile-advertising business.
The role involves supporting BizOps projects, reviewing code, debugging workflows, investigating product issues, translating business problems into actionable requests for Engineering and Operations, writing and maintaining workflow code, and analyzing product features and experiments. AI-assisted development is a regular part of the team’s work, so the successful candidate must be able to use these tools effectively and review generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and alignment with business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support projects led by other BizOps analysts by clarifying requirements, reviewing technical approaches, and resolving implementation problems.
- Debug issues in workflow code, integrations, and data processes; investigate root causes and implement or coordinate fixes.
- Review BizOps pull requests, including substantial AI-generated changes, for correctness, security, maintainability, and alignment with business requirements.
- Write and maintain Python code, SQL workflows, integrations, and automations.
- Investigate product bugs using code, logs, data, and reproducible examples.
- Write clear tickets for Engineering and Operations that explain problems, business impact, supporting evidence, and expected outcomes.
- Manage Google Cloud Platform services supporting BizOps workflows, including service accounts, permissions, secrets, configuration, and deployments.
- Support Salesforce workflows and integrations, including programming against Salesforce APIs.
- Analyze product features, experiments, and operational and advertising data using appropriate statistical methods.
- Investigate discrepancies across internal systems and partner platforms.
- Prioritize competing requests and communicate findings, decisions, blockers, and next steps through Slack messages, tickets, and documentation.
Requirements
- At least two years of relevant professional experience in business operations, technical operations, analytics, software development, or a related field.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics, or a related field, or substantial technical work, research, or project experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems, connect information across sources, and resolve ambiguous problems.
- Strong ownership, initiative, persistence, and judgment regarding data quality, system changes, permissions, and operational risk.
- Effective use of AI coding and workflow tools, including the ability to evaluate generated work, identify mistakes, and guide it toward the intended outcome.
- Practical experience with Python, SQL, Git, pull-request workflows, and APIs, including investigating and debugging existing code.
- Hands-on experience managing GCP services and workflows, including permissions, credentials, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience applying statistical analysis and data science techniques, selecting appropriate methods, interpreting results accurately, and explaining limitations.
- Experience in advertising technology, including areas such as campaign delivery, attribution, measurement, mediation, monetization, or the iOS and Android ecosystems.
- Clear, concise written communication and the ability to explain technical issues in business terms and document reproducible problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting internal tools, reviewing other people’s code, or coordinating technical work across business, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Experience with Salesforce administration, reporting, permission models, or integrations.
- Experience maintaining production automations, data pipelines, or shared internal applications.
- Familiarity with least-privilege access and sensitive data handling.
What Success Looks Like

Engineering and Operations receive clear, actionable requests supported by useful evidence. You resolve workflow issues, maintain reliable code, deliver sound product analysis, and improve the tools, documentation, and practices that help the broader BizOps team work effectively.
