About the Team

Strategy & Analytics maximizes and accelerates Operations’ ability to serve Stripe’s users. The team works cross-functionally with global teams to run the day-to-day business and achieve longer-term strategic priorities. It combines strategy and analytics to help Operations leaders solve complex issues while driving business planning and operational cadence from strategy and goal-setting through execution.

Responsibilities

Wrangle large, highly complex datasets using SQL to produce actionable insights and become the data expert for the assigned business area.
Develop metrics and large-scale dashboards to track the health of user-facing and internal teams.
Perform analyses using SQL and other analytical tools or languages, identify trends, conduct research, and build models to inform leadership about opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities.
Create narratives and documents that communicate the story of the business area and influence senior Operations leadership and Stripe executive decision-making.
Partner with stakeholders across globally distributed teams, including Operations, Finance, Data Science, Product, and Engineering, to drive cross-functional change.
Design, optimize, and drive operational reviews and the rhythm of the business.
Guide planning, goal-setting, and progress checks throughout the year.
Apply a return-on-investment lens to operational decisions and help make informed trade-offs.
Support near-, medium-, and long-term forecasting and planning processes for Financial Crimes.
Partner with leadership on business strategy, planning, goal-setting, performance tracking, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

5+ years of experience in analytical and strategic roles in management consulting, Operations, Support, Risk, or Financial Services.
Outstanding analytical ability, expertise in SQL, and an understanding of data relationships.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in or with Operations, Support, Risk, Trust & Safety, Financial Crimes, or Financial Services.
Experience working cross-functionally with globally distributed teams to achieve business and operational goals using data.
Ability to connect the big picture to minute details and set and operationalize strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in fast-paced environments, such as high-growth internet or software companies or management consulting.
Structured problem-solving skills combined with strong business acumen.
Experience with Tableau.
