About the Team

Strategy and Analytics maximizes and accelerates Operations' ability to make Stripe work for its users. The team works cross-functionally with global teams to manage day-to-day operations and achieve longer-term strategic priorities. It combines strategy and analytics to help Operations leaders solve complex issues while driving business planning and operational cadence from strategy and goal-setting through execution.

Responsibilities

  • Wrangle large, highly complex datasets using SQL to produce actionable insights and become the data expert for the assigned business area.
  • Develop metrics and large-scale dashboards to track the health of user-facing and internal teams.
  • Perform analyses using SQL and other analytical tools and languages, identify trends, conduct research, and build models to deliver objective insights on opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities.
  • Create narratives and documents that communicate the story of the business area and influence senior Operations leadership and Stripe's executive team.
  • Partner with stakeholders across globally distributed teams, including Operations, Finance, Data Science, Product, and Engineering, to drive cross-functional change.
  • Design, optimize, and drive operational reviews and the rhythm of the business.
  • Guide planning, goal-setting, and progress checks throughout the year.
  • Apply an ROI lens to operational decisions to support informed trade-offs.
  • Support near-, medium-, and long-term forecasting and planning processes for Financial Crimes.
  • Scope and lead business-critical projects and execute strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in analytical and strategic roles in management consulting, go-to-market, Operations, Support, Risk, Strategy and Operations, or financial services.
  • Outstanding problem-solving ability, expertise in SQL, and an understanding of data relationships.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to connect the big picture to minute details and set and operationalize strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in fast-paced environments, such as high-growth internet or software companies or management consulting.
  • Structured problem-solving skills combined with strong business acumen.
  • Experience with Tableau.
