Anthropic’s Finance Analytics & Business Intelligence team is hiring a senior individual contributor to own how the company measures the value of its models and its position in the market. The role focuses on determining how much value models deliver per dollar and per token, how that changes with each launch, and how Anthropic compares with other frontier AI companies.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a durable, trusted cross-product benchmark for measuring model and product value across coding, agentic, and product-shaped tasks.
• Construct task-cost approximations and price-elasticity estimates across differently priced products to inform pricing and packaging decisions.
• Run analytics around model launches, including capability-based revenue analyses and broader market analysis.
• Evaluate and integrate external datasets and research to improve understanding of the market and how it is evolving.
• Partner with Product Finance to turn open-ended pricing, packaging, and positioning questions into decision-grade answers.
• Present analytical narratives in executive forums and improve the team’s product-finance analytics practices.

Requirements

• Experience defining measurement approaches for ambiguous, open-ended questions without waiting for a fully specified request.
• Experience producing analyses that influenced pricing, product, or competitive decisions, and communicating findings clearly to senior leaders without losing analytical rigor.
• Willingness to remain hands-on at a senior scope, including writing SQL and Python and shipping defensible initial analyses with explicit error bars.
• Strong curiosity about models, products, and rapidly changing markets.
• Ability to manage multiple fast-moving workstreams and adapt when priorities change.
• Strong data visualization skills and experience using Claude and other AI tools to support analysis and business intelligence workflows.
• Ability to work independently across SQL, Python, dbt, and a cloud data warehouse.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing evaluations or benchmarks for AI models or products.
• Experience with pricing and packaging analytics at scale, including elasticity estimation.
• Experience estimating market share from imperfect third-party, panel, or survey data.
• Fluency in the LLM model and product landscape.
• Experience with dimensional modeling and warehouse design, including grain, slowly changing dimensions, and point-in-time correctness.
• Cloud platform experience with AWS or GCP, including orchestration, CI/CD for data, and testing or observability.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Relevant field of study as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
• Required years of experience correlate with the internal job level requirements.

Compensation

• Annual salary: $270,000–$320,000 USD.

Work Policy and Sponsorship

• Hybrid role. Staff are currently expected to work from one of Anthropic’s offices at least 25% of the time, although some roles may require more office time.
• Anthropic sponsors visas for this role where possible and makes reasonable efforts to obtain visas for candidates who receive an offer, with support from an immigration lawyer.
