Details

Anthropic’s Go To Market (GTM) Systems team builds and operates the platform used by Sales and contracting, including a production Salesforce organization, custom internal applications, and agents. These systems process revenue-impacting transactions, support critical business processes, and produce data used across the company.

The DevOps / AgentOps Engineer will build and operate an AI-first CI/CD pipeline covering Salesforce and custom application code. The pipeline will support fully agentic, human-in-the-loop, and AI-assisted delivery modes, with appropriate guardrails, approvals, and audit trails for a system under audit.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate the CI/CD pipeline for a production Salesforce organization and custom internal applications, covering branching, validation, deployment, and rollback.
  • Define how changes are classified and routed into agentic, human-in-the-loop, or AI-assisted lanes, including the gates and escalation rules for each lane.
  • Build the agent operations layer, including agent scope, tools, permissions, sandboxing, and restrictions on unsupervised actions across Salesforce and custom applications.
  • Implement approval workflows that keep pull request review and business sign-off as distinct gates, with clear rules for required approvals and supporting evidence.
  • Own environment strategy, secrets handling, deployment observability, kill-switches, and rollback mechanics across all delivery lanes.
  • Produce the audit trail and evidence required for a SOX-scoped platform.
  • Measure and report on pipeline performance, including lead time, failure rate, work distribution across delivery lanes, and opportunities for further agent automation.
  • Pair with engineers as they adopt the pipeline and use their feedback to improve defaults.

Requirements

  • Experience building and operating a team CI/CD pipeline, including branching models, merge gating, and rollback paths.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce deployment mechanics, such as the Metadata API, source-tracked development, and org-to-org promotion, or experience with a comparable enterprise platform.
  • Fluency with AI coding tools and agentic workflows, including the ability to determine which engineering tasks require agents, human review, or defined boundaries.
  • A failure-oriented approach to engineering, including consideration of blast radius, sandboxing, permissions, and automated-change recovery.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or a comparable CI system, infrastructure as code, and scripting to integrate platforms.
  • Ability to write clear design documents and communicate designs to engineers, business approvers, and auditors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience shipping agents or automation operating inside a production system of record.
  • Experience operating a platform under SOX or a similar audit regime.
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling such as Gearset, Copado, or sfdx-based pipelines.
  • Experience migrating from ad hoc or manual deployments to a governed pipeline.
  • Experience building approval or notification workflows in Slack or a comparable tool.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Relevant field of study demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
  • Required years of experience correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position.

Benefits

Anthropic offers competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office space for collaboration.
