Details

We're looking for a Director of Product Management to own our security product strategy end to end—the vision, roadmap, and build-versus-buy decisions. You will set the multi-year investment strategy for our security offerings, go deep with engineering on database security, networking, and identity management, and serve as the subject matter expert for other PMs navigating security-adjacent decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for security offerings, making the case internally with engineering and leadership and externally with customers and the market.
  • Develop deep expertise in database security, networking, and identity and access management (IAM) to engage with engineering on technical details.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, sales, and marketing to ship products that are secure in practice.
  • Translate complex security requirements into specifications and user stories for engineering.
  • Own backlog prioritization and trade-offs, weighing business value, customer risk, and engineering cost.
  • Drive go-to-market activities for security launches, including positioning, sales enablement, and documentation.
  • Monitor the performance of security features in the real world and use data to guide product decisions.
  • Serve as the security subject matter expert for other teams and provide guidance and coaching to PMs working on security-adjacent problems.
  • Represent the company's security posture and roadmap externally with customers, prospects, and analysts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with a significant and sustained focus on security products or features, including experience setting security strategy at an organizational level.
  • Hands-on experience with database security principles and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and their security implications.
  • In-depth knowledge of identity and access management (IAM).
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
  • Solid program management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Track record of representing products externally with customers, analysts, or at industry events, and translating deep technical security topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience guiding or informally mentoring other PMs, even without a formal reporting relationship.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the judgment to know when to escalate and when to make a decision.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where priorities shift.

Benefits

  • Flexible, remote-friendly work environment at a globally distributed company operating in more than 25 countries.
  • Employer contributions toward healthcare.
  • Equity in the company through stock options for new team members.
  • Flexible time off in the United States and generous entitlement in other countries.
  • USD 500 home office setup allowance for remote employees.
  • Opportunities to engage with colleagues at company-wide global gatherings.
  • Equal employment opportunities and protection from discrimination and harassment.
