Details

Anthropic is seeking an engineering manager for its Enterprise pillar, responsible for making Claude enterprise-ready at scale. The role combines enterprise product development, platform infrastructure, compliance, and go-to-market collaboration across Claude.ai, Claude Code, and API.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of engineers building features and foundational systems for enterprise-scale Claude deployments.
  • Own engineering execution, including planning, prioritization, delivery quality, team health, and incident response.
  • Partner with engineering teams across the company to build extensible, easy-to-adopt platforms.
  • Work with sales and customer success on enterprise requirements and customer conversations, translating insights into engineering priorities.
  • Shape the roadmap with product and design.
  • Drive compliance and platform-readiness initiatives in partnership with security and legal teams.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop engineers through direct feedback and ongoing investment in team growth.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager.
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS, cloud services, or administrative tools.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining robust, reliable, high-quality products.
  • Comfort working with enterprise customers and collaborating with sales and customer success.
  • Strong engineering management skills, including clear feedback, effective one-on-ones, and supporting team development.
  • Minimum education of a bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and/or experience in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI/ML products and enterprise AI evaluation and deployment.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and HIPAA, as well as enterprise audit logging.
  • Experience building integrations, permissions, billing, or pricing infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with data residency and data sovereignty requirements across global regions.
  • Startup experience scaling enterprise platforms from early adoption to broad deployment.
  • Experience working with research teams to improve domain-specific model capabilities.

Compensation

  • Annual salary: $405,000–$485,000 USD.

Logistics

  • Hybrid policy: Staff are expected to work from one of Anthropic's offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office time.
  • Anthropic sponsors visas and makes reasonable efforts to support visa applications, with assistance from an immigration lawyer.
