About Privy
Privy’s mission is to make privacy and user ownership the default online by building simple, flexible APIs and tools for developers to create products on crypto rails.
Privy owns the abstractions and infrastructure layer above wallets, integrating across chains, third-party providers, and Stripe products such as Treasury and Link. The team solves technical problems involving hardware enclaves, multi-region low-latency APIs, and blockchain abstractions for mainstream developers.
Engineering at Privy emphasizes rapid iteration, strong product judgment, and a security-first mindset. The engineering stack includes Node, React, and AWS.
Infrastructure is treated as a product, serving internal engineers and other employees through infrastructure platforms, external product offerings, powerful abstractions, efficient tooling, and developer education.
Responsibilities
- Own long-term team outcomes and the success of Privy’s product and business.
- Drive the future vision of Privy’s infrastructure alongside infrastructure engineers, including secure enclaves, Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), one-click Bring Your Own Cloud deployments, high performance, and large-scale systems.
- Hold the team accountable for excellence in quality, throughput, and performance.
- Lead infrastructure work across service definition, reliability engineering, developer tooling, and related areas.
- Ensure the team works on the right scope of projects, align decisions with business impact, and build effective interfaces with other parts of the organization.
- Act as a player-coach by reviewing pull requests, writing and reviewing design documents, investigating incidents, and staying close to the technology.
- Coach engineers toward their growth and career goals.
- Build a supportive, motivating, fun, and celebratory team culture.
Requirements
- Deep ownership and a high-level perspective on driving overall business impact.
- A performance-oriented mindset and a high bar for quality and excellence.

Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Designing and operating systems supporting hundreds of millions of users.
- Secure enclave platforms such as AWS Nitro Enclaves.
- Observability, incident response, capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure automation, including infrastructure as code (IaC) and infrastructure CI/CD.
- Building low-latency, high-throughput systems for trading or payment processing.
- Public cloud and Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) architectures.
