Details
The Integrity team at OpenAI works to ensure its technology remains secure from adversarial threats, including content abuse, scaled attacks, and other actions that could undermine user experience or operational stability.
As part of the Integrity team, you will work with state-of-the-art models and classifiers, experiment with new architectures and approaches, and advance content and user understanding. You will help turn research breakthroughs into solutions that improve the trust and safety of the platform, including training large language models and building machine learning models.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy advanced machine learning models that solve real-world problems and bring research concepts into production.
- Collaborate with researchers, software engineers, and product managers to understand complex business challenges and deliver AI-powered solutions.
- Implement scalable data pipelines and optimize models for performance and accuracy.
- Ensure machine learning systems are production-ready.
- Stay current with developments in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and lead by example in maintaining high-quality engineering practices.
- Monitor and maintain deployed models to ensure they continue delivering value.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with deep learning and transformer models.
- Experience with content understanding or abuse prevention using large language models is a plus.
- Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Familiarity with methods for training and fine-tuning large language models, including distillation, supervised fine-tuning, and policy optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to move quickly in an environment with loosely defined requirements and competing priorities or deadlines.
- Willingness to own problems end-to-end and acquire missing knowledge as needed.
