Forward-Deployed Engineer, Privy

Details

Privy builds APIs and tools that help developers create products on crypto rails. The engineering team works with Node, React, AWS, hardware enclaves, multi-region low-latency APIs, and blockchain abstractions.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand technical and operational objectives, scope requirements, and prototype and propose software solutions.
• Design, code, and launch features for Privy’s core product using TypeScript, React, and Next.js, owning development end to end.
• Drive product deployments, including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Champion customer success by ensuring the team understands, prioritizes, and addresses customer feedback and pain points.
• Analyze customer codebases to understand product usage and friction points and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with internal engineering, product, and business stakeholders to align product strategy and roadmap with customer needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional, hands-on full-stack development experience with languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Python, Go, or Java.
• Ability to prototype rapidly while maintaining appropriate quality standards.
• Superb problem-solving skills and the ability to understand the product and business aspects of development.
• Experience building and owning features end to end.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and learn new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• An entrepreneurial, high-ownership mindset.
• A desire for impact and a strong sense of urgency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing open-source developer tooling.
• Published work, such as code, presentations, papers, or blog posts.
• Experience building Web3 applications.
