Details
Glean is building a Work AI platform that combines enterprise search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on a secure, open platform. The platform includes more than 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, robust APIs, and Enterprise and Personal Knowledge Graphs.
You will join as a founding member of Glean's forward deployed team and operate with the autonomy and accountability of a founder. Working in a pod with Forward Deployed Product Managers, you will collaborate directly with C-suite leaders at influential companies and with Glean's engineering and product teams to discover and build new product surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Create Glean's next product surfaces through 0-to-1 product development.
- Identify unsolved customer business problems and design and ship new solutions.
- Lead deep opportunity discovery, form product hypotheses, and validate them directly with customers.
- Act as a technical partner to customer C-suite executives, explaining technical solutions, expected outcomes, and risks.
- Scale successful solutions by working with the core research and development team to make products repeatable and scalable.
- Collaborate with Glean's core engineering and product teams to shape the evolution of the platform.
- Travel 25–50% of the time.
Requirements
- A founder mindset, with the ability to investigate customer problems, identify what to build, and move quickly in ambiguous environments.
- A track record of building production software from scratch and shipping products used by people at scale.
- Production AI experience, including prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
- Strong full-stack programming skills and a deep understanding of enterprise systems.
- Business acumen and the ability to connect customer problems to product hypotheses.
- Strong customer communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with executives and technical teams.
- Sound builder's judgment, including the ability to assess feasibility, simplify scope, identify problems early, and work independently.
- Curiosity, resourcefulness, and a willingness to investigate problems deeply.
- 4+ years of experience in technical roles with a track record of shipping production software.
Nice to Have
- Experience as a founder, at a top-tier technology company, or in a forward deployed engineering role.
- A technical degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Deep familiarity with LLMs, retrieval systems, and evaluation frameworks.
- Experience driving technology adoption inside large enterprises.
Location
- Hybrid, with 3–4 days per week in one of Glean's San Francisco Bay Area offices.
- The role requires 25–50% travel.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $160,000–$270,000.
- Compensation is determined by factors including location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
