Reddit's Brand Ad Formats team develops high-visibility advertising formats that help advertisers maximize reach and brand impact. The team is building customizable interactive formats and AI-driven ads incorporating user-generated content, with a focus on expanding Reddit's video advertising capabilities.
The role involves building ad experiences and reusable patterns for Reddit's web application, collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams, and participating in the full development cycle from design and development through QA, experimentation, analysis, and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Build ad experiences and create patterns for Reddit's web app that improve advertising performance and functionality.
- Collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to develop sophisticated solutions to complex challenges.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, including design, development, QA, experimentation, analysis, and deployment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in web engineering.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Willingness to work on data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant applications.
- Experience with automated testing best practices, code quality, design patterns, observability, and related practices.
- Ability to conduct insightful code reviews and receive feedback.
- Experience using generative AI tools to improve software engineering productivity.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fully remote environment with technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in ad tech.
- Experience working on consumer-facing sites at high production value and scale.
