Group Product Manager, Money Movement

Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company. Employees are expected to participate in quarterly in-person working sessions called “surges.”

FinHub owns how money moves at Coinbase. Every dollar and token that enters, leaves, or moves within the company runs through this platform, including fiat across ACH, wires, cards, RTP, and SEPA; crypto across dozens of blockchain networks; and internal movement across ledgers, legal entities, and customer accounts.

As a Group Product Manager on the FinHub team within Platform, you will own the systems that ensure every fund flow reaches a correct terminal state, including controls that stop unsafe movement, detection that catches failures, and remediation that recovers them. You will set the reliability standard for money movement at Coinbase and lead through influence to hold the company to it.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year vision and strategy for money movement reliability and controls across fiat and crypto, defining per-rail service levels and resolution targets for every fund flow.
• Build the controls infrastructure governing money movement by determining which risk, compliance, and financial controls apply to each flow, verifying that they ran, and confirming that they passed before funds move.
• Drive real-time detection and end-to-end tracing across payment rails, blockchain networks, controls, and the ledger to identify and resolve failures quickly.
• Scale correctness through AI agents that propose controls from product specifications, triage alerts before an engineer opens them, and remediate issues within governed limits.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Finance, and every product group that moves money to establish control ownership and hold teams accountable for their fund flows.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience, with deep expertise in money movement, payments infrastructure, ledgering, or financial platforms at scale.
• A track record of owning strategy for large-scale money movement or financial systems, including payment processing, transfers, ledgers, reconciliation, or the reliability layers around them.
• Deep technical fluency in distributed systems, event streaming, idempotency, double-entry ledgering, reconciliation, and the design of preventive and detective controls.
• Demonstrated ability to set standards that other teams must meet and make them stick across organizational boundaries in a highly regulated environment.
• Responsible use of generative AI, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Compensation

The annual base salary range is $243,865–$286,900 USD, excluding equity and bonus. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, as well as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
