Why Cloud Infrastructure at Langfuse

Your work will keep Langfuse running everywhere.

Langfuse processes over a billion trace events per month. When a Fortune 50 company relies on Langfuse in production, they rely on the infrastructure you operate. You will own uptime, performance, and cost efficiency across the entire cloud footprint and ensure every self-hosted deployment runs smoothly.

You will operate Langfuse Cloud on AWS ECS Fargate and ClickHouse Cloud, with Datadog as the observability backbone. You will also own the public self-hosted infrastructure, including the Helm chart, Docker Compose setup, and related deployment tooling, enabling teams from startups to enterprises to run Langfuse on their own terms.

Langfuse is now part of ClickHouse, providing direct access to the team behind the database at the core of the stack.

Responsibilities

• Own Langfuse Cloud operations on AWS ECS Fargate and ClickHouse Cloud.
• Manage deployments, autoscaling, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
• Build and maintain Datadog dashboards, alerts, and SLOs.
• Develop monitoring practices that identify service degradation before customers are affected.
• Own and evolve the Helm chart, Docker Compose configuration, and deployment documentation.
• Support self-hosted deployments ranging from single-node setups to multi-region enterprise deployments.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, scaling, and zero-downtime deployments.
• Plan for infrastructure requirements at 10x scale, including long-running agent observability and real-time evaluation workloads.
• Improve security and compliance across cloud and self-hosted deployments.
• Help users debug self-hosted deployments.

Requirements

• Strong infrastructure or SRE engineering experience, with an interest in operating and improving systems at scale.
• Experience operating production workloads on AWS, including ECS/Fargate, networking, IAM, and S3, or on comparable hyperscale cloud vendors.
• Experience with container orchestration, including Kubernetes and/or ECS, Helm charts, and Docker.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Strong monitoring and observability skills, including building effective dashboards and alerts. Datadog experience is a plus.
• A well-organized approach and strong opinions about reliability, automation, and safely shipping infrastructure changes.
• Interest in open-source software and helping users troubleshoot self-hosted deployments.
• Ability to thrive in a small, accountable team where work is visible and impactful.
• A computer science or quantitative degree is preferred.

Bonus Points

• Experience with ClickHouse Cloud or other managed analytical databases.
• Experience operating high-throughput event processing or observability infrastructure.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure tooling, such as Helm charts or Terraform modules.
• Former founder experience.
