Lead Product Designer, Enterprise

Perplexity is looking for a Lead Product Designer to own the design of its enterprise product. You will design new experiences across enterprise and multiplayer use cases, building software that feels futuristic while remaining understandable and usable by people worldwide.

These surfaces are net-new and often unprecedented. You will build them from 0→1, applying deep knowledge of enterprise software, including organizational and seat management, role-based experiences, workplace policy, compliance, administrative management, privacy, permissions, and security. You will ship features that balance established UI paradigms with novel applications of AI, while working independently and strategically to identify problems worth solving and solutions worth shipping.

You will work closely with product, engineering, and the broader design team. The role involves contributing across product, interaction, brand, growth, copywriting, engineering, and marketing to create a high-quality product and learn from real customer usage.

Responsibilities

• Design net-new, 0→1 enterprise surfaces across enterprise and general multiplayer use cases.
• Design for organizational management, seat management, admin controls, permissions, privacy, security, and compliance.
• Create nuanced role-based experiences that adapt to workplace policy and different levels of access and responsibility.
• Balance established UI paradigms with novel applications of AI.
• Work independently and strategically to identify problems and solutions.
• Own work end-to-end, from 0→1 product design through large-scale optimization.
• Contribute to design processes that enable the team to ship high-quality changes frequently.
• Partner with brand design to ensure the enterprise product is useful and memorable.

Requirements

• Experience designing enterprise, consumer, or prosumer products.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise software, including organizational and seat management, role-based access, admin management, permissions, privacy, security, and compliance.
• Experience designing non-deterministic tools used by large workplace cohorts, such as Figma, Slack, Ramp, or Airtable.
• Comfort with both 0→1 product design and large-scale optimization.
• Excellent visual, UI, and interaction design skills.
• Excellent communication skills with team members and users.
• Comfort prototyping or coding design ideas.
• A strong focus on shipping high-quality software.
• 5+ years of industry experience.

Nice to Have

• Existing skills or interest in writing production code with React or SwiftUI.
