Anthropic’s Product Engineering organization is seeking experienced full-stack engineers to join teams building consumer and enterprise products, including Claude.ai, the Anthropic API, enterprise deployments, Claude Code, and mission-driven applications. The role provides end-to-end technical ownership across the product experience and involves collaboration with engineering managers, product leaders, designers, and researchers.

Responsibilities

Build and operate products and tools such as developer consoles, SDKs, documentation, observability systems, access programs, enterprise applications, and vertical AI products.
Develop experiences for developer tooling, beneficial deployments, financial services, life sciences, healthcare, public sector, enterprise AI, enterprise foundations, and growth.
Own technical quality across the stack, including performance, accessibility, reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
Build products for millions of global users and regulated environments, including identity and permissions, security and compliance controls, admin analytics, retrieval systems, connectors, plugins, skills, and workflow capabilities.
Partner cross-functionally with product, design, research, data science, marketing, and go-to-market teams.
Establish engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices.
Drive cross-team and cross-organization alignment, mentor engineers, and deliver products from zero to one in fast-moving environments.

Requirements

At least 8 years of practical full-stack engineering experience, ideally including 2 or more years at Staff or equivalent technical leadership level.
Experience designing and delivering complex consumer or B2B user-facing products across the full stack.
Strong expertise in modern frontend and backend development, including technologies such as React and TypeScript.
A product-focused approach to building robust, scalable, and easy-to-use solutions.
Experience working in early-stage startups or rapidly evolving environments and ideally building products from zero to one.
Experience establishing engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence across teams, and deliver high-quality products.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to mentoring and developing peers.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Compensation

Annual salary: $405,000–$485,000 USD.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Work Policy and Immigration

Hybrid policy: Staff are expected to work from one of Anthropic’s offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office time.
Anthropic explicitly sponsors visas and makes reasonable efforts to support visa applications, with assistance from an immigration lawyer.
