Details

NVIDIA is looking for a creative software engineering manager to join the Spectrum-X engineering team. Spectrum-X is NVIDIA's end-to-end Ethernet networking solution, supporting customers including some of the biggest and fastest-moving organizations in the world. The role requires strong people-management, customer-facing, and technical skills.

Responsibilities

Build and manage a team of US-based software engineers developing NVIDIA networking products.
Debug and diagnose complex networking problems, and develop tools and processes to improve troubleshooting.
Engage directly with NVIDIA customers to understand their networking requirements and solve their problems.
Work with a worldwide team of engineers, architects, product managers, and field personnel.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience developing embedded networking software, such as software for switches, routers, or NICs.
3+ years of experience as a personnel manager leading software teams.
Strong programming skills in C and Python on Linux.
Leadership in AI-native software development.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail, particularly when identifying and resolving networking issues.
Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
Track record of autonomous and successful delivery under challenging conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in data center network engineering spanning servers, NICs, cabling, and switches.
Strong understanding of Ethernet networking, including switch pipelines such as ACLs and forwarding rules; networking protocols such as TCP/IP and BGP/EVPN-VxLAN; and network operating systems and their automation.
Experience with NVIDIA networking technologies such as BlueField and ConnectX NICs, Spectrum switches, and the Cumulus Linux and SONiC operating systems.
Experience recruiting teams of software engineers.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: USD 224,000–356,500 for Level 3.
Base salary range: USD 272,000–431,250 for Level 4.
Eligible for equity and benefits.
The base salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
