Details

NVIDIA is the world leader in accelerated computing, and its system products represent some of the most complex engineering challenges in the industry. The System Design Tools and Methodology team operates at the intersection of hardware innovation and software excellence, developing workflows that support sophisticated AI systems. This role leads a team of developers working across CAD, PLM, and data examination to connect electronic, mechanical, and thermal engineering domains throughout the product lifecycle, from prototyping to global mass production.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the evolution of CAD and PLM ecosystems to support rapid, high-fidelity hardware iteration across the enterprise.
  • Architect data-driven workflows and analytics platforms that provide real-time insights into system design health and project achievements.
  • Partner with electronic, mechanical, thermal, and validation engineering teams to eliminate technical friction.
  • Streamline the transition from prototyping to manufacturing through robust, scalable methodologies.
  • Collaborate with project and program managers to identify and automate bottlenecks throughout the product development process.
  • Lead a high-performance team developing custom utilities, API integrations, and advanced reporting tools for thousands of engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 10 or more years of overall experience in system design, CAD administration, or PLM workflow development.
  • 4 or more years of direct people management or technical leadership experience within a complex engineering environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the hardware product development lifecycle, from conceptual design through mass production operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence multifunctional collaborators across engineering, operations, and applications teams.
  • Strong technical background implementing or customizing enterprise-level engineering tools such as Dassault, Cadence, PTC, or similar platforms.
  • Experience using data analytics to drive process improvements and engineering efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary CAD environments, with a focus on ECAD/MCAD integration.
  • Experience using Python or other scripting languages to develop custom automation and extend tool functionality.
  • Background in large-scale PLM migrations or implementation of company-wide NUDD (New, Unique, Different, Difficult) risk management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of modern data visualization tools for translating complex engineering metrics into actionable executive insights.

Benefits

NVIDIA offers competitive salaries, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. The company is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and is an equal opportunity employer. Applications will be accepted at least until May 11, 2026. This posting is for an existing vacancy. NVIDIA uses AI tools in its recruiting processes.
