Platform Product Partnerships Lead

As a member of the Platform Partnerships team, this role leads important integrations connecting third-party services with OpenAI products, including Codex and ChatGPT. The position sits at the intersection of product, engineering, partnerships, and ecosystem strategy, shaping partnership strategy, commercial and technical agreements, platform capabilities, and AI-native services.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-lifecycle partnerships, from identifying and prioritizing partners through negotiating terms, closing complex agreements, and driving partner success.
• Work directly with Product and Engineering to shape connectors, agents, and third-party workflows inside ChatGPT and Codex.
• Develop ecosystem relationships to drive engagement through distribution, co-marketing, and product innovation.
• Translate partner commercial needs, technical constraints, and market dynamics into program and product recommendations, prioritization decisions, and go-to-market plans.
• Structure ambiguous opportunities and help determine where to go deep, move quickly, or decline.
• Drive aggressive timelines by clearing blockers and aligning internal and external workstreams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product partnerships, product management, or developer relations.
• Demonstrated success structuring and negotiating complex commercial and technical deals, with strong negotiation skills and a focus on creative solutions.
• Excellent product and technical judgment, with experience building ecosystems or integrations for emerging products.
• Self-driven, relationship-oriented, and able to operate in a fast-changing environment.
• Exceptional communication, structured thinking, and program management skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Creativity, adaptability, and willingness to challenge assumptions.
• Strong ability to collaborate with product and engineering leaders and build trust with external partners.

Compensation and Benefits

The job description lists a compensation range of $266,000–$295,000 USD. The compensation summary also lists a range of $266,000–$370,000 USD and offers equity. Total compensation may include equity and performance-related bonuses.
