Details

Your work puts Langfuse into developers’ hands. Langfuse SDKs are downloaded more than 26 million times per month, and integrations are often the first experience developers have with the product. You will own that experience across more than 40 framework integrations.

The role focuses on the rapidly evolving LLM application ecosystem, including agent frameworks, orchestration libraries, model providers, and open-source integrations. All Langfuse integrations are MIT-licensed and immediately available to developers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain framework integrations for OpenAI SDK, Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pydantic AI, OpenAI Agents, CrewAI, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, LiveKit, and other frameworks and model providers.
  • Own integrations end-to-end, from initial implementation through ongoing maintenance as frameworks evolve.
  • Evaluate emerging frameworks and agent orchestrators and design appropriate instrumentation approaches, including callback handlers, decorators, OpenTelemetry auto-instrumentation, or combinations of these approaches.
  • Contribute improvements to the Python and TypeScript SDKs, including new hook points, improved context propagation, and performance optimizations.
  • Write integration documentation, quickstart tutorials, cookbooks, and migration guides.
  • Engage with framework communities, respond to integration-related GitHub issues, write blog posts, participate in Slack and Discord communities, and build relationships with framework maintainers.

Requirements

  • Experience building real applications with frameworks such as LangChain, Pydantic AI, Vercel AI SDK, LlamaIndex, or similar, or a strong willingness to learn the major frameworks in the LLM ecosystem.
  • Strong Python and/or TypeScript skills.
  • Ability to write clean, reliable code suitable for other developers’ production systems.
  • A product-minded approach focused on developer experience, ease of use, helpful error messages, and working documentation examples.
  • Self-directed and motivated, with the ability to investigate frameworks, talk to users, develop technical conviction, and ship without detailed specifications.
  • Enthusiasm for open source, developer communities, documentation, and helping developers solve integration challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a small, accountable team and own outcomes rather than only tasks.
  • A computer science or quantitative degree is preferred but not required.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with OpenTelemetry internals or observability instrumentation.
  • Contributions to popular open-source projects, SDKs, or developer tools.
  • Experience building developer tooling, command-line interfaces, or client libraries.
  • Founder or early-stage startup experience.
  • An active presence in AI/ML developer communities through blog posts, talks, or open source.

Potential Projects

  • Build and ship a Langfuse integration for an emerging agent framework, such as OpenClaw or new OpenTelemetry-based instrumentation.
  • Design the integration pattern for new categories of AI tools, such as voice agents using LiveKit or Pipecat.
  • Create quickstart cookbooks that get developers from zero to traced in under five minutes.
  • Work with the OpenTelemetry community to improve GenAI semantic conventions.
  • Maintain and upgrade popular integrations such as OpenAI, LangChain, and Vercel AI SDK as they introduce breaking changes.

Benefits

  • Flexible, remote-friendly work environment at a globally distributed company operating in more than 25 countries.
  • Employer contributions toward healthcare.
  • Stock options for every new team member.
  • Flexible time off in the United States and generous entitlement in other countries.
  • USD 500 home-office setup allowance for remote employees.
  • Opportunities to attend company-wide global gatherings.
  • Equal employment opportunities and protection against discrimination and harassment.

The salary range is €90,000–€160,000 annually, with equity offered. Actual compensation may vary based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs.
