Launched in 2019, Connects features multimedia guides with exclusive content from more than 1,500 cultural institution partners across 33 countries.
The Data and Platform Tools team builds the systems behind Connects' analytics, search, speech, computer vision, and generative AI capabilities, as well as the agentic core platform and tooling used across the product organization. This role owns the product direction for that technical surface area and works closely with the Data and Platform Engineering Team Lead to turn stakeholder needs into a coherent roadmap. The role reports to the Head of Product, Engineering and UX, with internal customers including engineers, business teams, and product-organization colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy and roadmap for Data and Platform Tools, spanning analytics and insights, semantic search, text-to-speech and speech-to-text, computer vision, content generation, and infrastructure for agentic systems.
- Own product direction for the agentic core platform and tooling used across the product organization.
- Partner with the Data and Platform Engineering Team Lead to prioritize and sequence platform investments against competing stakeholder demands.
- Translate between technical engineering work and the internal engineering, business, and design teams that depend on it.
- Build the roadmap and prioritization process so engineers can focus on building rather than triaging requests.
- Manage internal stakeholders across engineering, business, marketing, design, and product.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, including platform, developer-tools, or internal-tooling product management; purely consumer-facing product experience is not sufficient.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Direct experience with search, speech, text-to-speech, speech-to-text, computer vision, or generative AI products is desirable.
- Technical or engineering background is desirable.
- Experience taking a platform or tooling product from 0 to 1 and defining product direction where none existed.
- Experience managing internal, cross-functional stakeholders as the primary customer base.
- Technical fluency to prioritize and communicate trade-offs in machine learning and AI-adjacent domains, including search, speech, computer vision, generative content, or agentic systems infrastructure.
- Current practical use of AI tools in day-to-day product management work.
- Fluency using data to inform decisions and communicate impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
