Robotics Software Engineer

Our Robotics team is focused on unlocking general-purpose robotics and pushing towards AGI-level intelligence in dynamic, real-world settings. Working across the entire model stack, we integrate cutting-edge hardware and software to explore a broad range of robotic form factors. Responsibilities

• Expand and grow robotics data collection and evaluation programs, owning the full integration lifecycle from identifying and sourcing hardware to setup, software integration, and operational deployment.
• Develop and maintain robot control interfaces for diverse morphologies, environments, and tasks.
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams to develop automation tools and machinery for evaluating advanced robotic policies.
• Lead the design and implementation of data collection, visualization, and quality control processes.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including software, hardware, research, and operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing and shipping production-quality systems in robotics or hardware-integrated environments.
• Extensive experience integrating and deploying industrial automation systems, off-the-shelf robotics platforms, or custom hardware into production environments.
• Hands-on experience delivering production-quality software within collaborative, cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency in Rust or C++.
• Ability to work in-person in San Francisco; this role requires being in-person 4 days per week.

• Salary range: $255,000 - $325,000 (base pay may vary depending on market location, knowledge, skills, and experience). In addition to base pay, total compensation may include equity and performance-related bonus(es) for eligible employees.
