Join NVIDIA's Solutions Engineering team in reshaping the future of driving by building and deploying scalable solutions for autonomous vehicles. The team works hands-on to deliver practical results and values diversity. In this role, you will help craft application software architecture by collaborating with external partners developing on the NVIDIA platform and with NVIDIA teams working on autonomous vehicles. You will also advance and refine the overall drivability of the solution by focusing on integration challenges and applying deep analytical skills to solve complex system problems.
NVIDIA is seeking candidates passionate about bringing autonomous vehicles into the world and seeing the complete solution come together.
Responsibilities
- Shape the application architecture internally, focusing on planning and control, by collaborating with architecture and software development teams.
- Integrate and adapt NVIDIA solutions in target vehicles, ensuring that the planner and controller are adapted and tuned to meet desired vehicle dynamics performance metrics and functionality.
- Lead bring-up activities and provide technical support to resolve functional and planning and control-related issues.
- Perform and leverage in-vehicle and simulation test drives for functional and performance analysis on recorded data.
- Work with partners to integrate hardware and software components efficiently, understand system architecture, profile performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive optimization.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams in the United States, APAC, and Europe to deploy solutions to customers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related work experience in software development involving deep learning and/or autonomous driving technologies.
- Strong foundation in control theory, motion planning, and optimization, including real-time algorithms suitable for safety-critical systems.
- Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics, state estimation, and trajectory generation, with experience taking algorithms from simulation to real-time hardware.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent C/C++ development skills and good knowledge of Python.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced development lifecycles and multifunctional organizations, as well as new technologies and platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, an inclination toward innovative solutions, and outstanding attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the NVIDIA DRIVE platform, NVIDIA GPU hardware, and CUDA programming.
- Software development experience on QNX or an equivalent real-time operating system.
- Experience with automotive design processes and standards, such as ISO 26262 FuSa, ISO 21448 SOTIF, and ASPICE, including in-vehicle testing, simulation, and development guided by measurable outcomes.
- Proven expertise developing planning and control solutions and experience with diverse vehicle platforms.
- Contributions to or ownership of an open-source project and experience mentoring others.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range is USD 152,000–241,500 for Level 3 and USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4. The base salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
