Details

NVIDIA has continuously reinvented itself over multiple decades. Our invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing. NVIDIA is a “learning machine” that constantly evolves by adapting to new challenges that are hard to tackle, that only we can pursue, and that matter to the world. This is our life’s work, to amplify human creativity and intelligence.

NVIDIA is looking for a Datacenter System Architect to help define & design products for AI, high performance computing, and other datacenter markets.

Responsibilities

  • Drive architecture for datacenter systems considering everything from the chip out to the full datacenter.
  • Work with counterparts from silicon, software, networking, operations, and other teams to build a roadmap that guides development of future NVIDIA products.
  • Analyze performance, power, and cost of different solutions to inform architectural decisions.
  • Collaborate with NVIDIA’s key customers and system development partners to align on consistent strategies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure industry roadmaps are aligned to our needs.
  • Work across engineering and operations teams to define and execute systems from concept through large production deployments.
  • Monitor competitive solutions to keep track of industry developments and trends.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working in complex datacenter systems.
  • Deep understanding of hardware architecture and design of servers including mechanical, power, and thermal considerations and the interaction between server architecture and at-scale datacenter deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with problems that span software and hardware (software-hardware integration).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead multi-discipline teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields or equivalent experience. MS preferred.

Ways to stand out from the crowd

  • Experience with large projects involving co-development of custom processors or accelerators, systems and software.
  • Familiarity with GPU compute and NVIDIA networking.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations processes.
  • Experience with datacenter and cloud server deployment operations.
  • Demonstrated passion for technology and autonomous problem solving.
