Details
We are looking for a Deep Learning and Computer Vision Engineer to join NVIDIA's Autonomous Vehicles team. The role involves applying state-of-the-art techniques to build ground truth for autonomous vehicles and developing technologies for perception, prediction, planning, and control in self-driving cars. You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to transform innovative research into robust, industrial-strength machine learning models.
Responsibilities
- Stay up to date with the latest research and innovations in deep learning, implementing and experimenting with new ideas.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to transform research into robust machine learning models.
- Take approaches from initial evaluation and experimentation through production deployment.
- Define and collect training datasets.
- Build training pipelines and real-time inference runtimes using PyTorch, TensorFlow, TensorRT, Python, and C++.
- Help develop AI systems for robotics, autonomous navigation, perception, prediction, planning, and control.
Requirements
- PhD with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or an MS degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience building robust software.
- Passion for artificial intelligence, robotics, and autonomous navigation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Knowledge of mathematics.
- Experience with deep learning or machine learning, with a background in computer vision and/or planning and control.
- Programming and debugging skills in C++ and/or Python.
- Good communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work with multiple teams in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying modern AI methods to computer vision and autonomous vehicle problems.
- Experience with unsupervised or self-supervised learning.
- Experience with architecture optimization, pruning, curriculum training, and multitask training.
- Experience fusing data from different sensor modalities, such as image and LIDAR data, for information conflation, label propagation, and cross-training.

The base salary range is USD 152,000–241,500 for Level 3 and USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4. The base salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Applications will be accepted at least until June 12, 2026.
