Details

NVIDIA is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead DevOps efforts, increase availability, improve quality, and reduce delivery time for internal services developed by multiple teams and used throughout the company worldwide. The role involves improving automation infrastructure and CI/CD processes so development teams can focus on programming tasks and better serve customers through new and improved services.

The engineer will work in a dynamic environment with multiple active projects and shifting priorities, collaborating closely with software developers and performance analysts.

Responsibilities

Develop and support staging and production environments for multiple internal services.
Coordinate with teams across the globe to promote and improve CI/CD practices.
Help build services using on-premises Kubernetes and commercial cloud platforms.
Contribute to a team with significant flexibility in technical decision-making.
Drive continuous improvements to automation infrastructure, technologies, processes, and tools.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience.
Excellent programming and debugging skills in scripting languages.
Proven Linux system administration experience; CentOS and Ubuntu are strongly preferred.
Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools, including GitLab or similar platforms.
Experience with database administration and performance tuning.
Experience with containers, including Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with web services, including SOAP and REST.
Experience with scalable storage technologies, including HDFS and Ceph.

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in Python programming.
Familiarity with Windows system administration.
Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.

Benefits

Base salary range of $184,000–$287,500 USD for Level 4.
Base salary range of $224,000–$356,500 USD for Level 5.
Eligibility for equity and benefits.
Salary is determined based on location, experience, and compensation for employees in similar positions.
Full-time position.
