Details
We are looking for an enthusiastic and competent Senior Graphics Shader Compiler Engineer for an exciting role in NVIDIA's GPU Software organization. The team delivers features and improvements that realize the potential of NVIDIA GPUs across deep learning, scientific computation, self-driving cars, and graphics workloads for AAA game titles on gaming platforms.
You will be a key member of a compiler engineering team working on core compiler components for graphics drivers and general-purpose GPU computation. You will solve critical problems alongside compiler engineers and experts in GPU computing and systems software.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement significant parts of the compiler.
- Perform performance analysis and design and implement new optimizations.
- Partner with global compiler, GPU driver, architecture, and application teams to coordinate improvements and resolve problems.
- Identify interesting and meaningful compilation problems for state-of-the-art GPU technologies.
- Contribute to open-source projects, including LLVM and DXC, the HLSL compiler.
- Propose, design, and implement SPIR-V extensions.
- Represent NVIDIA in Khronos.
- Contribute to the future of SPIR-V as a standard graphics interchange format.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, a PhD strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 8 or more years of experience with a strong background in compilers.
- Strong C and C++ programming skills.
- Deep understanding of parallel programming models.
- Experience with compiler optimizations, especially LLVM infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing CUDA, DirectX, OpenGL, or Vulkan applications.
- Experience developing compiler optimizations and code generation for GPUs.
- Ability to perform code generation and build a strong compiler framework.
