Details

NVIDIA's Contract Manufacturing infrastructure team is seeking an experienced network architecture and connectivity engineer to redesign connectivity strategies for NVIDIA manufacturing sites. This hands-on architecture position focuses on developing and deploying IT rooms—similar in design to mini data centers—and office designs at manufacturing sites.

The role requires strong problem-solving abilities and comprehensive knowledge of network security protocols and standards, routing, switching, automation, and fundamental network theory. Knowledge of manufacturing and OT networks and infrastructure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot network issues at factories, including DNS and DHCP.
  • Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of global-scale factories and their connections to the cloud and factory IT rooms, using RoCE and traditional IP to support general compute workloads and large language models.
  • Partner with systems, operations, supply chain, OS, GPU, storage, and HPC product teams to deliver scalable, highly available network architectures and connectivity solutions that can evolve with rapid growth in compute and GPU capacity.
  • Design clear demarcations between factory IT rooms, production floors, and NPI areas, including their connections to NVIDIA data centers and clouds.
  • Manage lifecycle activities and develop network topologies for faster networks in revenue-generating manufacturing sites.
  • Define and enforce security, compliance, and reliability standards for backbone and fabric components supporting sensitive enterprise and R&D workloads.
  • Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to develop “NVIDIA on NVIDIA” reference architectures and best-practice solutions for large-scale compute and AI data designs using NVIDIA products such as Mellanox networking equipment and GPUs.
  • Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and other components of the full connectivity stack.
  • Develop and work with test engineering topologies.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • At least 12 years of experience building, managing, and supporting large-scale hybrid networks and developing automation pipelines with Python, Ruby, Go, or other infrastructure automation languages.
  • Expert knowledge of TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP/MP-BGP, VPN, Layer 2 switching, EVPN, VxLAN, Segment Routing, MPLS, IS-IS, and DWDM.
  • Experience automating SDN/NFV/NFVI infrastructure.
  • Experience with Mellanox networking equipment.
  • Experience with manufacturing and OT networks and infrastructure is an advantage.

Benefits

The position includes eligibility for equity and benefits. NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive work environment.

Applications will be accepted at least until October 5, 2026.
