Details

At NVIDIA, the System Ethernet QA Team is responsible for testing and qualifying virtual networking silicon (SimX) and software, covering L2 forwarding, L3 routing, overlays, QoS, and security. SimX provides hardware-free, early access to ASIC functionality for debugging and validation before physical silicon is manufactured.

Responsibilities

Review architectural designs and requirements for new product features.
Lead the design, development, and execution of functional, performance, and security tests for software general availability and update releases.
Develop Python automation suites using clean object-oriented programming principles.
Investigate defects, validate fixes, and drive issues through root-cause resolution.
Use the SimX platform to validate code and debug ASIC functionality before hardware becomes available.
Collaborate closely with R&D to lead feature quality from design through deployment.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on QA or networking experience.
Network protocol knowledge equivalent to CCNP, including L2 technologies such as VLAN and STP; L3 technologies such as BGP and OSPF; EVPN; VXLAN; and advanced features including PFC, ECN, RoCE, and QoS.
Production-quality Python engineering skills, including strong object-oriented design and hands-on experience with Pytest.
Deep Linux proficiency at an LPIC-1 or LPIC-2 level, including system internals navigation, log analysis, and debugging.
Clear verbal and written communication skills and professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
B.Sc., B.A., or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Docker and traffic-generation tools such as Ixia, TRex, or Scapy.
Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Working knowledge of virtualization platforms such as KVM or VMware.

Compensation

For Poland, the base salary ranges are 157,500 PLN–273,000 PLN for Level 3 and 206,250 PLN–357,500 PLN for Level 4. The base salary is determined based on location, experience, and compensation for employees in similar positions.
