Details

NVIDIA is looking for an experienced Senior Software and System Architect to join its Networking Software Architecture group. The group is responsible for defining next-generation architectures for DPU and NIC technologies. The role focuses on researching new technologies and defining architectures across networking, security, virtualization, and orchestration domains, contributing to datacenter networking and security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture for cloud networking and security solutions.
  • Design state-of-the-art system architectures for DPU and NIC technologies.
  • Build end-to-end solutions from the application level through the hardware level.
  • Provide fast and creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Write clear, effective, and reliable architecture specifications.
  • Evaluate new technologies and develop proof-of-concept prototypes for full-scale products and solutions.
  • Work closely with global software and hardware architects, R&D, product teams, solution architects, application engineers, and field engineers.
  • Collaborate with high-profile customers on advanced technologies and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Software Architect or Systems Architect, including strong experience as a Software Developer.
  • Deep knowledge of and experience with C and Python.
  • Hands-on Linux development experience.
  • Cloud networking experience.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of networking protocols and common network topologies.
  • Strong design, coding, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work concurrently with multiple groups locally and internationally.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Development experience with networking and security devices, including NICs, DPUs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Good understanding of operating systems and drivers.
  • Background in datacenter technologies, network topologies, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with DPDK, OVS, and OVN.
  • Experience with Docker, containers, and Kubernetes components and subsystems.
