Details

NVIDIA is seeking a passionate and dedicated Software and System Architect to join its Software Architecture group. The role focuses on researching new technologies and defining architectures for groundbreaking solutions across networking, security, virtualization, and orchestration. NVIDIA's Architecture group designs next-generation architectures for DPU and NIC technologies.

The position involves defining the future of the cloud solution stack, from hardware to application level, including orchestration, provisioning, network programmability, and software-defined networking (SDN). The architect will collaborate with software architects, research and development, product teams, solution architects, application and field engineers, and external customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture for cloud networking, including orchestration, provisioning, and security solutions.
  • Design innovative system architectures for DPU and NIC technologies.
  • Build end-to-end solutions from the application level through hardware.
  • Write effective, clear, and reliable architecture specifications.
  • Evaluate new technologies and rapidly develop proof-of-concept prototypes for development into full-fledged products and solutions.
  • Collaborate with NVIDIA software and hardware architects, research and development, product, solution architecture, application engineering, field engineering, and other teams worldwide.
  • Work with high-profile customers on advanced and future technologies and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a software architect or system architect.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a software developer.
  • Deep knowledge of and experience with C and Python.
  • Hands-on Linux development experience.
  • Experience with Docker and container-based technologies.
  • Experience with cloud and data center networking.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of networking protocols and common network topologies.
  • Strong design, coding, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work concurrently with multiple groups locally and internationally.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Development experience with networking and security devices, including NICs, DPUs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Good understanding of operating systems and drivers.
  • Experience with DPDK, OVS, and OVN.
  • Experience with Kubernetes components and subsystems, CRDs, operators, system plugins, and CNI plugin development, including Calico and Flannel.
  • Experience with OpenStack, OpenShift, and/or cloud APIs.
