Details

NVIDIA is looking for a software engineer to join its Linux Graphics driver team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering driver solutions for new GPU designs on current and future Linux platforms. You will contribute to new software technologies supporting Vulkan and OpenGL for NVIDIA GPUs, as well as enhancements and maintenance of existing features.

Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and develop professional and consumer Linux Vulkan and OpenGL graphics software performance features.
  • Develop and maintain software technologies that enable and support NVIDIA GPU hardware on Linux operating systems.
  • Ensure high performance and cross-platform implementation.
  • Collaborate with worldwide internal software, hardware, architecture, and OEM support teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing graphics OpenGL/Vulkan system-level software, particularly for Linux.
  • At least 3 years of experience in graphics rendering, shader programming, compilers, and optimizations.
  • At least 8 years of programming experience in C and C++.
  • Low-level Linux operating system knowledge, including memory and resource management, scheduling and process control, and hardware virtualization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing shader compilers.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Base salary range: USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4.
  • Base salary range: USD 224,000–356,500 for Level 5.
  • Eligibility for equity and benefits.
  • Salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
