Details

NVIDIA is seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer to join its Workstation and Virtualization team. You will work with technology related to computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing. The role involves collaborating with customers, software engineers, and program managers to reproduce issues, perform root cause analyses, and validate defect resolutions.

Responsibilities

  • Reproduce issues reported by OEMs, enterprise customers, and partners.
  • Collaborate with software developers, program managers, and customers to determine root causes and verify defect fixes.
  • Validate NVIDIA products on customer-specific platforms and configurations to ensure compatibility and reliability.
  • Build Python-, C#-, and C++-based scripts and diagnostic tools to improve bug reproduction and troubleshooting efficiency.
  • Build AI-driven tools and technologies that improve workflow efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years in customer support or software/hardware testing.
  • Proficiency with Windows, virtualization technologies, and scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Experience with VMware ESXi, Citrix Hypervisor, Microsoft Hyper-V, and KVM.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
  • Solid knowledge of PC architecture, supercomputers, and computer clusters, including caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, and related components.
  • Extensive experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting PCs and servers.
  • Hands-on experience with debugging tools, memory dump analysis, remote debugging, and Windows performance tracing tools such as ETW.
  • Knowledge of graphics technologies including DirectX, OpenGL, Windows Display Driver Model, CUDA, and OpenCL.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant expertise planning, installing, and optimizing virtualization environments using VMware ESXi, Citrix Hypervisor, Microsoft Hyper-V, and KVM.
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux distributions such as Red Hat and Ubuntu.
  • Experience using generative AI platforms and large language models, including Gemini, Claude, and Copilot, to develop AI-powered tools.
