Anthropic is seeking experienced software engineers to join the Beneficial Deployments Engineering team. The team helps bring Claude to nonprofits, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, life sciences researchers, and economic mobility initiatives globally. This role combines full-stack engineering with a focus on AI accessibility, social impact, and scalable product development.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure for accessible, self-serve onboarding and verification systems in global markets.
- Understand the needs of underserved communities and translate them into scalable technical and product solutions.
- Build flexible pricing, billing, and provisioning systems for resource-constrained organizations.
- Develop MCP integrations connecting Claude with tools used by nonprofits, educators, healthcare workers, and researchers.
- Develop multilingual and accessibility capabilities across platforms.
- Build systems to measure and demonstrate social impact at scale.
- Partner with product, partnerships, and field teams to prototype and validate solutions with communities.
- Ensure platform reliability and performance for mission-critical deployments in humanitarian and social impact contexts.
Requirements
- 6+ years of practical experience as a full-stack software engineer.
- Experience building consumer or enterprise products that prioritize accessibility, inclusivity, or underserved populations.
- Technical expertise in identity management, billing systems, self-serve onboarding flows, or API integrations.
- Ability to ship products quickly while maintaining quality for diverse user needs.
- Strong interest in using technology for social good.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work with product, partnerships, and field teams.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Relevant coursework, training, or professional experience in a field related to the role.
Strong candidates may also have experience with international markets, multilingual products, accessibility features, nonprofit technology, social impact startups, AI/ML products, LLM applications, resource-constrained environments, emerging markets, compliance in regulated sectors, or scaling products from zero to one.
Compensation
Annual salary: $320,000–$405,000 USD.
Work Policy and Immigration
Staff are expected to work from one of Anthropic's offices at least 25% of the time under the current location-based hybrid policy. Anthropic explicitly states that it sponsors visas and will make reasonable efforts to obtain a visa for candidates who receive an offer.
