Software Engineer, Bridge

Bridge is creating a payments platform built with stablecoins to simplify global money movement. The platform enables faster, cheaper cross-border payments, borderless access to U.S. dollars via stablecoins, virtual accounts, and global payouts infrastructure.

As an early member of the engineering team, you will work on globally scaled products and greenfield opportunities. Engineers have significant ownership over projects and contribute to products and use cases that are continually evolving.

Responsibilities

• Ship software for Bridge's suite of API products and contribute to highly reliable, performant, and business-critical infrastructure serving thousands of developers globally.
• Take sole ownership of projects, often without direct Product Management support.
• Liaise internally with teams such as Legal and Compliance and externally with partners and developers.
• Continuously improve product offerings to enhance the experience of partners and end users.
• Make effective trade-offs across business priorities, user experience, and sustainable technical foundations.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes for the team and broader organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience; Bridge is open to engineers at various levels from Software Engineer through Senior Staff.
• Experience building backend systems with SQL databases.
• Experience with frameworks such as Rails, Django, Express, or equivalent is a bonus.
• Strong ownership and the ability to lead and influence product design and direction.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Growth mindset, constant curiosity, and willingness to explore unfamiliar areas.
• Ability to write maintainable, well-tested, modular code while remaining pragmatic about moving quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on crypto or financial products.
• Passion for building in the crypto and stablecoin space.
• Experience building API products.
• Experience working with blockchain or distributed systems.
