Glean is the Work AI platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as enterprise search has evolved into a Work AI ecosystem powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on a secure, open platform. Glean's Platform Infrastructure team builds systems for customer setup and deployment in complex cloud, hosting, and security environments.
About the role
You will join the Platform Infrastructure team to build systems that bootstrap cloud accounts and projects, wire authentication, and turn deployment workflows into reliable, repeatable productized experiences for customers. This role focuses on cloud infrastructure, networking, infrastructure as code, and solving deployment problems with clean software abstractions.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve systems that automate customer setup and deployment across cloud environments.
- Develop deployment workflows and infrastructure-as-code templates that mirror customer environments and reduce manual setup work.
- Improve support for complex deployment scenarios including BYO-VPC, customer-managed keys, airgapped environments, and custom-region deployments.
- Work on cloud account and project bootstrapping, authentication wiring, proxy and private networking, and deployment orchestration.
- Partner closely with Platform, Security, Product, and customer-facing teams to make deployments faster, safer, and easier to operate.
- Raise the quality, reliability, and coverage of AWS and GCP deployment tooling over time.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in platform, infrastructure, or cloud-focused roles.
- Solid backend engineering fundamentals and the ability to work across infrastructure-heavy systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure in AWS and GCP.
- Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Strong networking fundamentals, including VPCs, subnets, routing, proxies, and private connectivity.
- Experience building or improving deployment automation, onboarding workflows, internal cloud platforms, or customer-environment setup systems.
- Ability to balance engineering rigor with pragmatism and to turn complex setup problems into repeatable productized systems.
- Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, and comfort taking ownership in an evolving environment.
Benefits
- Base salary range: $200,000 - $270,000 annually.

Location
