About Us
Metronome is a usage-based billing platform for modern software companies and a Stripe product. The platform enables companies to launch products faster, offer flexible pricing models, and streamline finance workflows without writing code. It computes hundreds of millions of invoices per billing period and supports customers including OpenAI, Anthropic, NVIDIA, TogetherAI, and HuggingFace.
About the Role
The Metronome AI Native Solutions team operates at the intersection of technical sales, implementation, and customer success. The team supports AI-first companies with the launch of usage-based billing on tight timelines.
The AI Native Solutions Architect is the primary technical owner for fast-moving AI companies and owns much of the deal cycle, from the first call through technical win, while also supporting implementation so customers can go live quickly.

- Understand billing challenges, product launch timelines, and technical requirements through efficient discovery.
- Drive engagements forward, identify blockers early, and build relationships across engineering, finance, and product organizations.
- Run streamlined demos tailored to technical founders and product and engineering teams.
Driving Hands-On Implementation
- Provide actionable implementation plans for usage-based billing launches.
- Write code snippets, configuration examples, and integration guides to accelerate customer time-to-value.
- Pair program or work alongside customer teams during proof-of-concept and initial setup.
- Design upstream and downstream integrations with prospect systems using pragmatic solutions that enable rapid launches.
Building AI Market Expertise

- Provide consultative guidance on pricing, packaging strategy, and implementation.
- Stay current on AI industry trends, pricing models, and competitive dynamics.
The role suits someone who thrives in high-velocity environments, enjoys solving technical problems in real time, and wants to help AI companies monetize their products. The Metronome team operates like a startup, offering opportunities for high-agency individuals to establish processes, influence strategy, and build from zero to one.

Bonus Qualifications
- Knowledge of the quote-to-cash space, including tools such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and CPQs.
- Experience as a software engineer, product manager, or in another technical role.
- Experience in a pure sales role, particularly selling to technical buyers in engineering and product organizations or working as a founding or early salesperson at a startup.
