The Data organization delivers data, news, and analytics through innovative technology, applying problem-solving skills to identify workflow efficiencies and implement technology solutions that enhance systems, products, and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, recruit, mentor, and develop a team of data professionals responsible for processing time-sensitive, high-quality financial data, data analysis, and project management.
  • Guide the Entity team, which creates and supports core entity data, assigns risk allocation, and conducts corporate hierarchy research for more than 7 million public and private companies.
  • Collaborate globally with Data and core business groups, including Product, Sales, News, and Engineering, to develop and improve data and functionality across the terminal.
  • Encourage the development and implementation of proactive data quality management methodologies supported by customer-focused metrics and processes.
  • Develop data modeling and ETL skills within the team while collaborating with Engineering teams to build robust datasets that increase client value.
  • Build data delivery processes that surpass client expectations using data governance expertise.
  • Identify opportunities to expand coverage and improve product quality, timeliness, and processes in collaboration with Data, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Stay current with industry trends and standard processes to proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, STEM, or a related business field.
  • 3+ years of relevant leadership experience, or strong relevant individual-contributor experience combined with relevant domain knowledge.
  • Proven experience in data management, such as data quality, data modeling, and/or data engineering.
  • Proven data analysis experience using tools such as Python, SQL, and/or Tableau.
  • Experience working with large datasets and quantifying industry-impacting trends.
  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative evidence to drive commercial decisions.
  • Strategic vision to align team goals while providing outstanding service to business and internal or external clients.
  • Experience implementing a product strategy that delivers on its vision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for establishing credibility and influential relationships and communicating business needs and operational strategy to internal and external partners.
  • Creative and flexible problem-solving approach supported by strong data analysis skills.
