AI Engineer, GTM Claudification

Details

As an AI Engineer on the GTM Claudification team, you will build the agents and AI systems that support Anthropic’s go-to-market operations. You will develop autonomous agents for inbound, outbound, pipeline management, and customer engagement, as well as evaluation frameworks to verify that these agents are ready for customer-facing work and deliver measurable value.

Working closely with sellers, RevOps, and platform engineering partners, you will own projects from initial prototype through production operation. The role combines full-stack engineering—including MCP servers, agentic systems, and web applications—with hands-on evaluation work, such as behavior benchmarks, production monitoring, and ROI measurement. You will also help architect shared platforms used by builders across the go-to-market organization.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate autonomous agents that run go-to-market motions end to end, including inbound, outbound, pipeline management, and customer engagement.
• Design human oversight for each motion, including approval gates, handoffs, and escalation paths.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for agent behavior and run them in development and production.
• Instrument model and tool calls in production.
• Build observability and measurement systems that connect agent actions to pipeline and revenue.
• Ship MCP servers, agent skills, and web applications that connect to CRM systems, communication tools, and data warehouses.
• Set the technical direction for building, evaluating, and operating agents across the team.
• Architect shared codebases and establish conventions and review practices.
• Work directly with sellers to ground agent designs in real workflows and iterate based on observed results.
• Identify repeatable patterns and share insights with Anthropic’s Product and Engineering teams.
• Maintain strong knowledge of developments in LLM capabilities, agent frameworks, and evaluation techniques.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript, with experience building and operating production applications.
• Production experience with LLMs, including context engineering, agent development, MCP development, tool use, and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience using evaluations and transcript analysis to identify and fix problems in LLM systems.
• Working fluency with data, including SQL.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and ship without a detailed specification.
• Passion for advancing safe, beneficial AI and care for the people who use what you build.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a field relevant to the role.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8 or more years of experience in roles such as software engineer, ML engineer, or forward-deployed engineer. Former technical founders are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with Claude Code and the Claude Agent SDK.
• Experience with go-to-market systems, including CRM, sales engagement, enrichment, and conversation intelligence, or experience working closely with a revenue team.
• Experience growing a codebase with many contributors, including inner-source or open-source experience.
• Applied ML and experimentation experience, including A/B testing, propensity models, recommendations, or causal analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners with low ego.

• Build an agent that takes a routine sales workflow from the first signal to a drafted, human-reviewed action.
• Establish an evaluation suite for an agent, including seeded scenarios, scoring rubrics, and regression runs on every change.
• Ship an MCP server that gives sellers and their agents governed access to a core revenue system.
• Design a shared repository where go-to-market builders publish agents and skills, with tests and review rules.
• Build a predictive model that explains its recommendations so an agent can tell a seller why it suggests an action.
