Details

At Nord Security, you’ll help create data assets that support business requirements and future analytics use cases. The role focuses on analytics engineering, data transformation, data modeling, data quality, and software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data transformation workflows using dbt to create reusable, analysis- and chatbot-ready data assets aligned with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data and analytics needs, translating them into technical specifications and scalable data models.
  • Work closely with data engineers to build efficient, scalable, and reliable data models and pipelines for current and future use cases.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Promote and support software engineering best practices in analytics, including version control, code reviews, and automated testing to ensure code quality and readability.
  • Document data transformations and implement best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in analytics engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write clear, maintainable, and efficient queries.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt as a transformation tool for building analytics workflows using SQL.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools such as Airflow and Fivetran.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and data transformation techniques.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with Git, Scrum methodologies, and Agile development practices.
